Onomichi  canvas (hand in Japanese) used to be used for a sail of a sailing ship, which is very thick and tough. There used to be many shops to make canvas fabric and repair sails. because chemical fabric took place,the number of canvas fabric factories is decreasing. We want to use the domestic natural canvas to make our original products. All the process is hand made. For natural dying material, we use “persimmon – dye” which has started  in Edo period and “Indian red dye” : the oldest dye, The best -selling product is “school bag” which is popular for Japanese and oversea tourists.
